Drake Inglesi Milardo is conducting a search for a Vice President of Human Resources for one of our clients, (Lincoln Paper and Tissue in Lincoln Maine).
The current VP is retiring this year and a search for a replacement is being conducted for the next couple of months. This is an outstanding position in a long-term industry with recent successes. Its ownership is energized, committed and well prepared for future growth – the VP of HR will play a major role in providing Leadership in this organization by being responsible for the “people” side of the business. The successful candidate will have a minimum of ten years experience in a manufacturing, industrial environment, preferably with a history of managing a favorable labor agreement. The points of emphasis for this leader are to support and strengthen the operation through strategic efforts involving employee benefits, recruiting and retention of talent, compensation, training, leadership development, lean staffing and overall employee satisfaction. The position oversees all of the initiatives to comply with legal requirements, safety standards, and good management practices.
The VP of HR, along with a small staff, sees to it that employees are well informed, supervisors are assisted in their day-to-day dealings with employees, and the employees at this facility are dealt with honorably and respectfully. The successful candidate will have a clean history of high integrity; a reputation of excellence and an academic background that prepared him/her for a position at this level. A hands-on operational background in addition to HR experience will be beneficial when combined with labor relations expertise acquired through experience and utilized judiciously. The successful candidate will have demonstrated leadership and accountability for safety, environmental performance, productivity and profitability. The Lincoln area is very inviting for someone with a love of the outdoors – great family region with good schools, positive setting and conducive to solid values. The area is easily commutable from the Bangor area.
